Lightning Serpents

This monster and location came from a larger adventure with a space elf.I don't have my notes so stats are pretty sketchy. Lightning Serpents These serpents, once worshiped on the island where they live, grow to be larger than one person can put their arms around, sometimes dozens of feet long. They grind against the iron-wood bark of their native trees to build up a static charge, large enough to raise them slightly off of the ground. This height gives them even greater stealth through their forests, and the charge can be a second nasty surprise when dispersed on a bite. Pseudo stats Moving full distance within their native environment grants them a full charge. This grants a movement speed bonus, and is expended in any bite attack. They have two attacks They can slash at you with their scales. This occurs during a move action that abuts your position twice (e.g. a turn with you inside the corner). This doesn't release a full charge They can bite you. If the serpent i

Writing History

For future reference, this is a list of names (mostly placeholders) for RPG stuff I've written and could hypothethically write up. [5E] Module: Toothache

Having just completed their last adventure, a wandering half-elf merchant named Vaseron catches up to the party, asking for help. His friend Godwin, the blacksmith of Oakhurst, told him that the village has had a plague of missing teeth. Vaseron will continue on, but will describe the small path that can be taken to Oakhurst. Oakhurst Oakhurst is small village, no more than a few dozen in the village proper. It has wooden walls and two gates carved in an elven style. The village has a handful of homes, a blacksmith, a market square, and a blacksmith. Almost everyone is missing at least one tooth, many are missing even more. At night, the gates are guarded at night by Zora and the frequently sleeping old man Greelish, watching for thieves passing through. They wear common clothes or leathers, and wield quarterstaves. They will check bags for missing teeth, though they are under orders to deny this, as well as the prupose of their watch. They will refer the party to Balthazar if pre

[UVG] Mini-module Star-Brass Titan

This is an adventure I ran originally using the beta Black Hack Second Edition for a single first level player. Ages ago, the star-brass titans governed the earth with their plodding steps and unceasing gaze. Whether they were rulers or weapons has been forgotten, but studies of occasional remnants has confirmed with superlative nature of their materials. Idrasi, father of a small family of autodigger nomads came across some of the metal, and is willing to sell information of its location, as they could not easily excavate or sell it themselves. Idrasi Idrasi is clad in purple robes to blend with the grasslands, and has few posessions beyond storm-goggles, good boots, and a staff topped with an infrasonic whistle to summon his herd. He is quick to avoid danger, and pretends to skepticism, though eager to provide for his daughters, left tending the flock. The site is a few days travel along the low-road and the high, then a few days off of that. The Site Dangers: vome-r

Four Magic Items

If you roll a 1 or 2 on the indicated die, downgrade the usage dice as follows: Ud20 > Ud12 > Ud10 > Ud8 > Ud6 > Ud4 > Depleted Darkeye Beans (Ud10 or 1d6+8 beans) These violet-tinted beans are grow in shaded crevices. Their pale flower bloom with a slight glow on the darkest nights. When dried and consumed, bright becomes dark and dark becomes bright for 1d4 hours per bean consumed, to a maximum of three. Torchlights shrouds an area and daylight is pitch-black. Pendant of Foes Samize Samize This iron pendant, once the ball of a flail, has eight spikes radiating in each direction. When pricked with blood, the victim and their nearest foe know each other's locations until one of them loses consciousness, such as by sleep or death Coin Oven A pound of metal, a pound of other materials, and the heat of a good campfire may be used
